Teenagers are known for having quick reflexes. Which can be a great asset when driving. However, as everyone knows, when it comes to driving, especially driving heavy loads, big trucks, and in interesting, challenging weather, experience is key. With that in mind the federal government unveiled plans to let 19.5 year-old drivers train to get CDLs. Despite the reported driver shortages, I cannot see this as a measure that will help keep our roads (and our loads) safe.
