The White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) cleared the rule requiring all trucks to be equipped with and for all truck drivers to use Electronic Logging Devices for their hours of service logging.
Companies will have two years to equip their trucks and train their drivers.
Time will tell if these devices streamline operations, make the roads safer, merely drive up costs, or fail to make any difference at all.
